Episode 4: 3 Things You Should Do Before Go To and Get Out Of Bed To Wake Up Happier

I. Many people have a hard time letting their thoughts go at the end of the day, whether you’re hung up on the rest of your to-do list or a fight you had with a friend. There are simply 3 Things You Should Before You Go To Bed To Wake Up Happier.

— One of the first things I do before go to bed is to write down your to-dos or reminders. By writing things down before going to bed, since now they’re somewhere and won’t be forgotten, you give your brain permission to stop thinking about them.

—Second, take a few minutes to express gratitude for the day. Think back on your day and find one or more things you are grateful for. The thing that made your day more enjoyable, or that you are happy to have in your life regularly. By expressing what you’re grateful for before going to bed focuses your brain on positive thoughts and makes it harder for it to get stuck in the long-list-of-things-that-stress-me-out-cycle.

—The third is meditating. Meditation helps you slow everything down and put their lives and the people in their lives into perspective.

**Nevertheless, if you cannot meditate, you can read a book you enjoy, do some yoga stretches, anything that makes you feel really good. It doesn’t have to be complicated or take a lot of time, just make it something that nourishes you.

II. When morning comes, and before you get out of bed, there are 3 Things You Should Do Before To Wake Up Happier

—The first things when waking up in the morning before getting out of bed and before doing anything else, take a few minutes again to express your gratitude for being able to wake up, for the wonderful loving and support of family and friends. Be grateful for all the things you have.

Gratitude is the gateway to happiness. Great things will begin to happen. Gratitude begets gratitude. It’s just like a yawn; try being around one without it catching on.

—The second is to go over and read your to-do list, or reminders. Set your intentions for the day

—The third is meditation. Meditation helps you slow everything down and put you and the people in your lives into perspective.

*** This is mainly because your morning routine is going to conveniently set the tone and the rhythm of the entire day. Needless to say, you would take far better decisions when it comes to it as you are relaxed and calm.

Keep in mind, though, that meditation could be quite daunting for beginners. So, at a start, it might be a good idea to focus on deeper and slower breathing techniques even if you had to do it for just five minutes after you wake up right before you get busy.

Now, there are a few different types of meditation that you could potentially practice. For me, the best thing to consider is to go with mindfulness meditation. This is when you just pay attention to your body and you cut yourself out from the rest of the world. You might become a lot more aware of the surrounding environment, the sound of your breath or the floor underneath you, for instance. This is going to allow you to experience a calm that you’ve never experienced before.
